He and Katrina live in West Palm Beach and enjoy their three sons and spouses, and their eleven grandchildren.

Rev. John Sappia

Assistant to the District Superintendent

John Sappia was born in Brooklyn, New York and started attending an Alliance Church in 1981.  After graduating from Nyack College and Reformed Theological Seminary, John and his family spent 13 years pastoring teenagers and young adults.  The Sappias were called to Paraguay, South America in 1997 and spent 8 years living overseas planting the Mi Esperanza (My Hope) church and developing leaders.  In 2016, John joined the Alliance Southeast team as Multiplication Associate for Latin Ministries in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.  There, John has the privilege of working alongside of the great pastors and leaders of that region.

John’s passion is discipling and helping others put their unique gifts and personality into the work of the ministry that God has “planned in advance” for them (Ephesians 2:10).

John married his best friend, Lisa in 1994 and they have an amazing family with two girls (Alison and Megan) and two boys (Andrew and Caleb).

Rev. Bob & Karen Formica

Missions Mobilizers

Bob and Karen Formica bring a variety of life and ministry experiences to their role.  They have served as International Workers with The Alliance in the Philippines and have pastored two churches in Florida over the span of 17 years.  These experiences enable them to better understand the challenges that pastors and churches face in connecting their local churches to what God is doing around the world through Alliance missions

Bob comes from a Roman Catholic family.  At 21 years old, he was radically saved at a college campus Bible study the first night he attended.  Bob eventually attended Nyack College and the Alliance Theological Seminary.

Karen became a Christian early in her childhood in Canada.  She sensed God's call on her life for international missions and attended Canadian Bible College and Seminary.  She has served in women's ministry in The Alliance Southeast.

Bob and Karen desire to be your church's missions resource.  For more information, click here.

Mrs. Trish Santos

Director of Business & Finance

Trish was born in Lake Carmel, New York and moved to Florida when she was 11.  Trish met her husband Chris in high school and moved to Orlando at the age of 19.  Trish came to Christ in her mid-twenties around the same time, so did Chris.  Trish responded to an alter-call, and Chris to a radio pastor while driving on I-4.  Soon after, they married.  Both got baptized together in an Alliance Church.

Prior to coming to the district, Trish worked for her husband’s wall-covering business doing his bookkeeping, blueprint reading and contracts.  She also served as a bookkeeper for their church and currently serves as the Treasurer.  Trish brings marketing and operations experience; as a Sr. Marketing Manager for The Ritz-Carlton Club for six years, as well as an Operations Coordinator for Everything But Water for just over 5 years.  Trish has been with The Alliance Southeast since October 2009.

Trish enjoys her two dogs and loves spending time with her family.
