Envision Miami

Renew the City 2018

You are invited to Renew the City 2018!

Because of last year’s work at Renew the City, we are still working with Benjamin Franklin School and now have another potential public school partner (Miami Park Elementary).  We are not just serving alongside them, but are talking about the potential of a Bible club in the public school.  And we all know the impact that could have, but it would not have happened without your help.

Group Trip Info for Envision Miami:

Envision Miami exists to make disciples.  This happens through partnerships with local churches and other urban ministries, to help reach their communities for Christ.  By working outside the four walls of the church, we hope to attract people to the inside, so they can explore Christianity for themselves.  Your involvement, as a short-term mission team, is vital to the success of this ministry in Miami.

As a mission worker in Miami, you will be serving in a cross-cultural setting.  Below we've listed what a typical trip will look like. Please note that this is a general schedule and may change based on the activities and needs of the church and community we are serving.

Sunday:  Arrive Sunday afternoon - Orientation/Training and Meal (Cultural activity depending on arrival time).  Special arrangements can be made for Saturday evening arrival.
Mon. - Thurs.: Mornings will generally include working alongside local ministries to perform service projects or construction. After lunch, we do ministry which could include children's ministry, homeless, VBS, prayer walk, or sports ministry.
Friday:  Special project/Beach day
Saturday:  Departure (this gives you time to rest, reflect and recuperate before getting back to your busy schedules)

Each morning, we will have devotional and prayer time before breakfast and in the evenings, after dinner we have a time of worship and debriefing.

Cost: 7-day Trip:  $475/person (travel to and from Miami not included)
3-day Weekend:  $100/person (Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon; travel to and from Miami not included)
