Envision Miami

Renew the City Update:

We have been very busy here in Miami and also with our partnership in Cuba. In the past 10 weeks we’ve had two mission teams in Miami and 2 that we helped lead to Cuba. We also had our biggest event of the year on April 6th called Renew the City. On that day, over 150 volunteers came to Miami from all over Florida to work alongside more than 50 staff and students from Benjamin Franklin K-8 public school to paint the school and clean up the grounds. Below are some before and after pictures.

The cafeteria was blue and yellow and changed to orange and grey (the school colors).

After the work was completed, we had a block party to reach the community of North Miami.  We partnered with Seed of Hope and were able to hand out free burgers and hot dogs, along with free food distributions for over 200 families in the neighborhood.  Along with all the food we held a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and live music.  We had eight rap artists and one spoken word artist share the Gospel and the love of God.  We eagerly await to see the results that only God can produce from this work.

In the end, one man came forward and asked for prayer because he was struggling with sin in his life.  As I thought about it afterwards, I thought how many others struggle with sin, but don’t have the courage to come forward and say, “I’m struggling. I need help.  Would you pray for me?”  Jesus came to give freedom to those who are captive to sin, not so we could say we’re Christians and look good on the outside.  We're glad we could be a part of helping a brother who needed help.
Please continue to pray for God's guidance for our campus renovation project, the health of Teri's parents and for our upcoming busy summer.

Thank you for continuing to support and pray for us!

The Perrotto's

Matt and Teri Perrotto are the Site Coordinators for Envision Miami.  Prior to coming to the Miami site, they served two years at the Dominican Republic site.  We are exited to see how God will use them, their children, and our district churches to increase our gospel footprint in Miami!
