Ordination and Consecration

Ordination/Consecration

All workers newly licensed in The Alliance Southeast are considered "Provisional Workers" and will begin the ordination/consecration process or the process for sustaining a previous ordination. This program is designed to be completed within two to three years.  For more details on what is required, please review The Ordination/Consecration Manual in the Printable Documents section below.

Resonate 2021

Resonate is a conference that happens annually in August at the National Office.  While there, ordinands/consecrants will have the opportunity to meet the president of The Alliance, tour the office, meet our team of dedicated workers and meet other new Alliance workers from around the United States.

Attending Resonate is a requirement for all ordinations/consecrants to be completed in the first year of licensed ministry.

Save the date! The gathering for new official workers will be held from August 2–5,2021. Due to plans to relocate the National Office, this will be the last time the event will take place in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. Registration will open in February 2021.

CO Retreat

Each ordinand and consecrant is required to attend two consecutive CO Retreats (Consecration/Ordination).  This retreat is a good opportunity to interact with other ordinands and consecrants in the process along with district leaders and members of the Licensing, Ordination and Consecration Council. Seminars are designed to help the ordinand and consecrant complete their requirements.

Stay tuned for the 2021 information.

Alliance Polity Course

The Alliance Polity Course is for candidates in the first year of ordination/consecration who have not graduated from an Alliance institution or Alliance graduates who have not taken a formal course in Alliance Polity.  The Alliance Polity Course imparts the vision and core values of The Alliance, and familiarizes new workers with the significance and history of The Alliance to the worldwide Christian movement.

Registration is now open for the NEW UPDATED Alliance Polity course.  The course is a 6-week course of study.  Students register and pay $210 (plus the cost of books). A qualified Alliance elevator leads each cohort and interacts with students and grades their work through their time in the course. More information is available on the new CMAllianceU site, www.cmallianceu.org, under Programs>Certificate Courses.

How to enroll:
To enroll, go to www.CMAllianceU.org and create an account by clicking "Sign Up" at the top of the screen.  You will be asked to create a secure account, including a CMAllianceU ID (username) and password.  Then, on the Alliance Polity Course page, simply click on "Enroll Now."  Once you choose the cohort and complete the enrollment, you will receive a confirmation email.

Alliance Missions Awareness Course

The goal of our Alliance Missions Awareness Course is to help you learn more about God’s heart for lost people around the world and equip you and your church in specific and practical ways to join God in what He is doing through Alliance missions.

We are excited to offer our Alliance Missions Awareness Course on Friday, Oct. 9th, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at Lake Swan Camp prior to the CO Retreat.

If there are at least 3 people that want to take this one-day course on Friday, the District will provide the additional day for you to arrive at Lake Swan on Thursday night and be ready to start the course at 10 am on Friday morning.

Please let us know if you plan on joining us for this one day course or have any questions. Formica, Bob bformica@alliancese.org.

Alliance Peacemaking Level 1

A virtual seminar on resolving interpersonal conflict biblically and building a culture of peace in our homes and churches will be offered to official workers and church leaders.  This is the Level 1 Training from Alliance Peacemaking, and is required of all in the consecration and ordination programs.  This will be Zoom training in three sessions, on Tuesdays, October 13, 20, and 27, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Seating will be limited and there is no charge.  Click here, to register.
