American men has declined from 43 percent in 1992 to 28 percent in 1996. Twenty-six million men attend church typically,
outnumbered nearly three to one by those who avoid church. Since 1991, Barna's surveys indicate "church attendance, Bible
reading, Sunday school attendance, volunteering at church, and donating to a church have all decreased among men."
